Winners Circle Society Announces 2024 Grant Recipient

Sea Girt, NJ – The Monmouth Park Charity Fund (MPCF) Winners Circle Society hosted its annual grant finalist presentation and reception on Wednesday, August 28th, at the stunning home of Vincent and Maria Farhat Tanzola in Sea Girt. This highly anticipated event brought together 64 members of the Winners Circle Society to decide on the recipient of a $22,000 grant.

Three nonprofit finalists, The ARC of Monmouth, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, and Mercy Center, showcased their impactful projects. After compelling presentations, the members awarded the 5th Annual Grant to Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. The grant will fund the creation of the “New Jersey Women’s History Museum and Cultural Center” (NJWHCC) at the Farmingdale campus.

The NJWHCC will serve as a vital hub for women’s history, preserving the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore archives, offering rotating exhibits, and engaging girls and the community in exploring the contributions of American women to our heritage.

Though the other finalists did not secure the main grant, they each received $1,500 to support their vital work.

In addition to the grant announcement, the event honored Sandy Mullaney for her extraordinary 50 years of service to the Monmouth Park Charity Fund. Her dedication to the organization and the local community was celebrated with well-deserved recognition.

The Monmouth Park Charity Fund is committed to raising and distributing funds to Monmouth County nonprofit organizations that provide critical services, including healthcare, support for at-risk populations, and specialized services. The Winners Circle Society plays a crucial role in sustaining the MPCF’s mission through collective donations from its dedicated members.
